Michael I. Brooks is the founder and principal of the Law Offices of Michael I. Brooks apc & Associates. He has successfully handled numerous cases in Federal and State courts and has represented clients in hundreds of arbitrations and trials.
Mr. Brooks has been a practicing attorney since 1979. His practice focuses in the areas of employment and family based immigration matters including the handling of removal cases before the immigration courts, such as the Executive Office of Immigration Review, the Board of Immigration Appeals and the Administrative Appeals Unit. In addition, Mr. Brooks represents clients in personal injury law, employment law, civil and business litigation and family law. In these areas, he has tried, arbitrated and mediated innumerable cases before judges and juries.
Mr. Brooks is admitted to practice before the Federal District Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the United States Supreme Court, and the Executive Office of Immigration Review. He is a twenty six year member of the California State Bar.
Mr. Brooks was born and educated in London, England. He received his law degree from the University of London in 1977. In the same year he immigrated to the United States. As an immigrant himself, Mr. Brooks is aware of the hopes and dreams that go along with the filing of a petition for immigration benefits. He understands well that each client aspires to be a part of the "American Dream". He is proud of the trust that his clients have given him over the past twenty-six years of practice, allowing him to represent and guide them through the sometimes difficult and complicated immigration process.
